This is the event we’ve all been waiting for because all the gravelleurs in Whitehorse know, “The Sewage Lagoon is SO hot right now!”
The first ever Sewage Slayer is a mass start, 2-person relay event taking on one of the most deceptively scenic and challenging gravel segments in Whitehorse; from Riverdale to the Sewage Lagoon on Long Lake Road. And back.

Your team rider #1 will ride from the start at the Education Building (corner of Lewes Blvd and Hospital Rd) to the Sewage Lagoon where they’ll deposit their baton into the hands of their team #2 who’ll tackle the return leg.

The 2021 Sewage Slayer presented by Velonorth. Push hard for a personal best. Pray for a south wind. And please, for the love of god, close the lid.
**NOTE: Velonorth is committed to running a safe event in accordance with current Yukon CMOH guidelines. We had planned for the Sewage Slayer to be a “mass start” event”, but recent CMOH direction for organized sporting events may require us to adjust the start format. Rest assured, we will adjust if and as needed to ensure a safe and fun event for you.
At our events, we expect all participants to adhere to the Safe 6+1 (which includes wearing a mask outside when not able to physically distance), to stay home if experiencing symptoms, and to GET VACCINATED! (sorry, didn’t mean to yell there!)
