June is usually a busy bike month in the Yukon. This year is no different despite the ongoing pandemic and the Gritty C.O.G. hangover (in a good way) we’ve been nursing since the end of May.
KCIBR 2021
Alaska border still closed?! Pffft. It ain’t matter. You can still register for this year’s virtual KCIBR event. Riders and teams can sign up for between one and eight 30km legs. Complete your ride on routes of your choosing, between June 12 and 20, 2021. Great draw prizes for Yukoners and Alaskans! The weather is looking better as the week goes on so get out there. Ride your bike. Win stuff. Information and registration at www.kcibr.org
Fondo/Fondue
It’s back for 2021! The Southern Lakes Yukon Gran Fondo is on this weekend (June 19th) and registration is still open.
Starting and finishing at McClintock Bay Adventures next to Swan Haven and taking in the iconic Carcross/Tagish triangle loop. The laid back vibe means that teams can exchange riders at any point on course, and as often as they wish, which will keep you fresh for the catered meal at the finish line – which is unlikely to include actual fondue. Space is limited and registration closes MIDNIGHT June 16th!
REGISTER HERE. NOW. DO IT. LIKE RIGHT NOW.
Note: There’ll be no group ride on June 19th, we’ll be out at the fondo/fondue and so should you.
